Hi, I’m Tenae Stewart, your guide, mentor, and priestess on this shadow journey to reclaiming your power.
For most of my life, I denied some core essential parts of myself that felt too vulnerable, too dangerous, and too rebellious to own out loud.
My pleasure and desire. Being bi. My hunger to break the rules in my relationships. Even when I had defied convention in my career, becoming a successful full-time astrologer, and in my spirituality as a witch…
Still, I kept the pleasure-seeking temptress part of me locked away. It felt safer to only let the slutty, wild me exist in fantasy.
After my long-term partner and I broke up in a messy showdown, my shadows around pleasure started whispering to me, clamoring for my attention.
Still, I denied them for as long as I could, until they clawed their way out and into the open where I couldn’t ignore them any longer.
And reclaiming “slut”? Reclaiming pleasure? Stepping into my queer and polyamorous identities (out loud, on the internet)?
Best thing that’s ever crawled out of the shadows - terrifying, but liberating.
And here’s the truth: I’m still on my journey. I have to practice every day asking for what I want, choosing bold self-expression over shame, letting myself be seen in my raw vulnerability.
But the more I reclaim these shadows, the more I feel connected to my inner wild. The more ME I get to be.
Reclaiming your shadows isn’t about fixing anything or even releasing the shame or fear you might feel. It’s about standing in your power and choosing freedom anyway.
