The (mostly) women accused of witchcraft over hundreds of years in the European Witch Trials suffered, died, often betrayed one another, and lost their homes and livelihoods to the patriarchal aggression of the church and the state.

What does a tragic event from hundreds of years ago have to do with our modern lives and what we’re afraid of or ashamed of?
The European Witch Trials resulted in the deaths of approximately 50,000 men and women over a few hundred years, particularly in the 1500s and 1600s.
At least tens of thousands more were accused but acquitted, while communities and families across the continent would have been impacted or witnessed these traumatic events play out.
In many cases, wealthy women were accused of witchcraft, with their property and holdings going to the church after their death. (Suspicious? 🧐 Very.)
Powerful noble women and queens were frequently accused, presumably with the hope of unseating them from power. Women often accused each other in an attempt to protect themselves and their families.
These frenzied attitudes of fear and repression would have been inflicted on other parts of the world by European colonizers, as colonization was also in its full, brutal swing at this time.
This isn’t a single tragic incident or an isolated pattern. The Witch Trials created a collective ancestral wound that touches all of us, especially those of us who identify with words like:

Hi, I'm Tenae! I am the Dark Moon Priestess and I help my clients use sacred pleasure practices to navigate all the hard, shadowy things that happen in our real lives. Together, we create pleasure rituals that honor their wildest desires but that will also hold them in shadow seasons of grief and change.
I’m a certified astrologer, a cottage witch, a published author of three books, and a spiritual and intimacy coach.

If you're curious about witchcraft, witch wounds, shadow work, and ancestral healing, this event is for you! We'll be specifically talking to modern witches and focusing on healing witch wounds, but anyone interested in these topics is welcome to join us.

The live events and pre-recorded sessions will be released from October 26-29, 2026! Free ticket holders will have access to catch up on replays through October 31.

Most of the sessions for this event will be pre-recorded so you can listen or read them at your convenience between their release date and October 31. The remaining sessions will be held live with replays released at the end of each day and available until October 31.
We recommend setting aside some time to attend the live sessions this week if you can, as you'll have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the chat with other attendees.
